Jessica Alba Biography 

The famous Hollywood actress, Jessica Alba is known for her noteworthy roles in Honey, Sin City and as the invisible lady in the Fantastic Four.

 Her Childhood

Jessica Alba was born on April 28, 1981 to Mark Alba and Cathy Jensen in Pomona, California. Her father is in Air Force and of Mexican descent and her mother is a mix of French and Danish ancestry. Her father is dark while her mother has a light complexion.
She has a brother, Joshua who is just 1 year younger to her.

She had spent pretty long time in hospital as she suffered from shrunken lungs twice, had pneumonia four to five times in a year, appendix, tonsils and asthma as well. This cut off her from other schoolmates because she was in the hospital for quite a long time that no one knew her well enough to take care of her.
At a very small age, Jessica being very talented realized that acting is her passion and this enthusiasm and passion was discovered by an agent who signed her when she was 13. She played a number of small parts and then made her film debut as Gail in a comedy, Camp Nowhere in 1994.

 Her Career

Jessica earned a very small role in her first movie, Camp Nowhere in 1994. She was actually signed for two weeks but it turned out to be a two months role after the main lead dropped out. Jessica was selected as her substitute because her hair colour harmonized with that of the actress acting earlier. Later on she appeared in quite a lot of independent movies.
She was then seen in some smaller assignments on the small screen, with commercials for Nintendo and a persistent role in Nickelodeon's The Secret World of Alex Mack in 1994.

Following her Nickelodeon shift, Jessica, also being a scuba diver, was cast in the 1995 series Flipper. Jessica was signed in the devastating film Venus Rising when she was working with dolphins on the television series.

 In the year 2003, she got DVD Exclusive Awards as Best Actress for movie, The Sleeping Dictionary.
 In 2003 she got TV Guide Awards as Breakout Star of the Year for Dark Angel.
 In 2002, she got ALMA Awards as an Outstanding Actress for Dark Angel.
 In 2001, she received Teen Choice Award and Saturn Award as Best Actress for Dark Angel.
 Her Personal Life

Alba was affianced to her co-star in Dark Angel, Michael Weatherly, but it broke off. In January 2005, she began dating Cash Warren, whom she met when doing the movie, Fantastic Four. The couple's alliance has become overwrought now. Cash has started making his own movies.
As far as children are concerned, once Jessica Alba has stated:
"I'm really girly when it comes to kids. I've been surrounded by kids my whole life because I'm the oldest of 15 cousins — I've been changing diapers since I was six. I want to have a couple, for sure".
